Resume Writing and Cover Letter Workshop

Miri – 24 March 2023 – The Faculty of Business (FOB) at Curtin Malaysia hosted the resume writing and cover letter workshop to provide students enrolled in MKTG3009 Business Internship with the necessary skills to create a professional resume and cover letter that will help them get a job or internship. The major activity in MKTG3009 Business Internship is for students to spend a minimum of 100 hours, working with an employer on a business-related project. 

The workshop was facilitated by Dr Ho Jie Min, a lecturer from the FOB. Dr Ho provided students with an overview of the importance of a well-crafted resume and cover letter and discussed the various elements that need to be included in both documents. She also provided tips on how to make sure that the resume and cover letter stand out to employers and showcased some of the more creative strategies that students can employed when preparing the documents. 

At the end of the workshop, students were given the opportunity to ask questions and get personalized advice on how to create an effective resume and cover letter. Dr Ho also encouraged students to reach out to her for additional help if there is any.
