Welcome to the Marketing Department,
Business success lies in its marketing and the importance of marketing can’t be debated. In today’s competitive world, for firms to survive and remain at the head of the market, businesses need to adopt efficient marketing strategies and perform effective marketing activities.
Marketing is an exciting and dynamic field of study; marketing is a versatile degree which will prepare student for a wide range of rewarding careers. A few of the many career fields include: marketing communications, internet marketing, sales management, personal selling, public relations, advertising and promotion, retailing, brand management, consultancy, marketing research and much more. If students are interested in business, psychology or social studies then they may be suited to a degree in this field. Marketing covers everything from advertising to market research, so it appeals to a wide variety of students and they will have time during university life to discover which field is best suited to them.
The Marketing department offers a number of courses to develop students’ knowledge, skills and experience, and to enable our graduates to secure jobs in marketing at top national and international companies in Malaysia and worldwide. Our aim is to train future leaders to be top executives in the marketing field. Therefore, in our courses students are engaged in a skills and enquiry-based curriculum that incorporates real-world examples, case studies and group projects.
The Marketing department has an excellent team of dedicated faculty committed to providing knowledge that build confidence and develop skills required for future professional recognition of the department and its students. Moreover, the department promotes the advancement of the practically relevant research that addresses contemporary challenges faced by marketing managers and policy-makers. The department is focusing on creating and sustaining a supportive, collaborative, and vibrant research culture through raising the quality and quantity of our research output and by developing and managing all faculty to achieve goals.
